Program "Information and Publicity"
UNA News Bulgaria is an online not-for-profit media, presenting a wide range of international news. The platform provides information of public interest with a focus on international news, activities, and initiatives of the UN, human rights, refugees, children and youth, and sustainable development.
Платформата е създадена и се поддържа безвъзмездно от екип от млади хора, част от Дружество за Обединените нации в България. Авторите в UNA News Bulgaria са стажанти, които пишат на доброволен принцип.
От февруари 2021г. експертът по Турция и Близкия Изток и бивш кореспондент на БНР в Истанбул Мариян Карагьозов се включва в ръководството на UNA News България в качеството на главен редактор. Карагьозов е възпитаник на НГДЕК „Св. Константин-Кирил Философ“, завършил е право в СУ „Св. Климент Охридски“ и бакалавърска степен по „Ориенталистика“ в НБУ. Написал е монография за съвременната турска външна политика и в момента завършва и дисертацията си в Института за балканистика – БАН, посветена на турската външна политика спрямо Близкия изток (2002 – 2011 г.).
The "Global Issues" Forum is a sustainable initiative of the Youth Section of the United Nations Association of Bulgaria, aimed at a wide target audience. The goal is to promote public debate in Bulgaria regarding the role of the UN in the contemporary world and, more specifically, to raise public awareness about ways to solve global challenges with a strong national impact. Renowned experts on the addressed topics are invited to participate in public lectures or panel discussions.
Among the topics are "Information Warfare and Media Propaganda" (January 2016), "Sustainable Cities" (June 2017), "Towards a Global Compact for Refugees" (June 2017), "United Against Crimes Against Humanity" (June 2018), "75 Years of Working for Human Rights" (April 2020), "Young People and Multilateralism" (June 2020), and others.
